Topics We're Likely to Get To Soon

Baseball:
Steve Stone, the curveball, and 1984.
Cooperstown: The power of myth, the sanctity of sport, why children are terrible.
We'll lay our hearts on the scratch by predicting a Cubs World Series win, and then die a little.

Basketball:
Mitch Richmond vs. Reggie Miller, and the value of legacy.
We'll make some NBA predictions for '08-09, and trash our own predictions from 07-08.
We'll talk NBA Live ratings, and why they matter.

Other Prattle: We'll talk some film, if you like, both good and bad, mainstream and not so, and we're going to do some mix tape critiques, which should be a bit of fun, and I think we'll do a book club, if you're into that, and hopefully we'll get some knowledgeable folks to drop by and pitch in with the writing.

UPDATE: This post originally was just holding our place until we got off the ground, but I really do hope to get to all these things. Except the baseball stuff, until my heart has healed. The Cubs sure did lose, didn't they? Glad I didn't bother pressing fingers to keys for that. Oh well, deep sighs, moving on. Welcome, and make yourselves at home.
